Why turn down a modeling job

In the world of modeling, if you are not careful, the jobs will shape who you are, instead of the other way around. Many can be tempted by the glitz and glamour before they really wake up and smell the coffee, so I recommended the black coffee no sugar no cream straight up version.

So, lets ask ourselves a few questions before accepting modeling assignment. Here are a few key points to take in consideration. Do I have the complete info regarding the modeling job; from vision, to usage of rights, hours involved, and location. Do I know how my image will be used. If you feel, details are being left out, that's a signal to step away. We all have that feeling when something feels off, and trust your instincts.

I touched on safety in my previous blog. Now, let's take a look at marketing your image as a model. And, how accepting a bunch of modeling gigs that are not in your best interest with your image can poorly affect how you are looked at. For example, a photographer that is trying to photograph nudity, but will play it sly by asking for implied nudity. I've had a photographer ask to shoot for a lingerie right after a fashion shoot was completed. He had not asked prior. I was ok with it, but you may not be. So, you can simply say, i would not be comfortable with that, so I respectfully decline.
