Levels of Modeling

Greetings! I wanted to include mostly pics of my earlier modeling days to demonstrate different levels of modeling. When I communicate that, I am referring to the following categories: Beginner (paying for photos), Beginner to intermediate (trade for print or trade for publication), and Advanced (Getting paid for modeling gigs). I want to also say that all levels are to be respected, since it is up to the individual, as to what they are looking to achieve in their career. I am including samples below of trade for photos (tfp), as well as paid gigs I've achieved in ads.

So, lets get started. You decided you want to embark on this journey into the modeling industry. You will need dedication, confidence, hard work, and a positive outlook on life. And, more practically you will need to have strong photos in your portfolio, a headshot and composite card, having full to 3/4 body pics.

As you build up your portfolio and network, you may get the attention of various photographers that like your work. Then, you can start to not only get published, but get paid for your time. This may take some time, as you create a strong portfolio and an agency can help. Pictured below, are a few modeling assignments I was paid for: Killer Kurves Shapewear, Bedside organizer ad, and Bobby Stryker club clothing line. You will also find a tear sheet from Model up magazine.

It is important to establish what area of modeling is your strength: runway, fashion, commercial print, fitness, glamour, lingerie, bikini, pinup are a few catergories to consider. Get inspired by studying other modeling and joining in model groups. This will build confidence and help to harness the beauty inside of you and you will be ready for the world and embarking on your dream! And, I wish you the best.
