Fun with makeup and beauty trends

It is important to know that with makeup trends, they will come and go, but experimentation is the best part. Even if you decided it wasn't for you. The classics will remain.

When I was fifteen I can remember wearing the brightest shade of a Revlon lipstick in the brightest red pink hue. It was super bold. I was a sophomore in high school and I decided I would venture into wearing makeup on the first day of school. I felt super conscious. I didn't like the feeling of lipstick on my lips, I was afraid I was going to accidently smear it on my face. Pretty soon I was wearing a matte pressed powder cause my face was geting to be super oily. I really wasn't aware of the trends, but just wanted to look pretty. I can remember looking through my mom's makeup collection growing up. She only had the high end makeup from Estee Lauder and Clinique. I was impressed.

I began to look to makeup for expression. There was a time I was wearing very dark brown or earthy peachy neutral toned lipstick. Then I was in my red lipstick faze, which lasted very long, emulating my favorite pop stars; Madonna and Blondie. There was always something new going on with makeup that culture would show.

Currently, eye shadows are back in, silver is a current trend, along with eyeliner trends. Glowy skin is also in and bold lips. And, blue eye shadow! So, even if its not for you, see what trends you may like and have fun with it!
